JANINE WHITELAW
Janine Whitelaw is a Northland based artist and mother of two sons.
She has successfully been painting professionally for the last six years with many of her works finding homes internationally .
Inspired by the beauty of Aotearoa since returning from London, her works often depict elements of the land and the natural wildlife and Fauna of New Zealand.
Her paintings vary from pure oils on linen and canvas to multimedia work with acrylics, textures and resin. Much of her work is done in series, working on an idea with new variations and inspiration, allowing the works to take her on a creative journey through the process of exploration. Often fragments of poetry and thoughts while on this creative journey are depicted in handwritten calligraphy through the paintings.
